Cookie policy

Updated to March 7, 2024

This policy is complementary to the privacy policy concerning other types of personal data we may collect, which can be accessed here.

The policy below aims to give you all the information you need about the cookies used by our site. You can change your preferences at any time:

Cookies are files, often encrypted, that are stored in your browser. They are created for a limited time when a user’s browser loads a given website: the site sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Each time the user returns to the same site, the browser retrieves this file and sends it to the website’s server.

The information stored by cookies includes the pages you visit, the type of browser you use, your IP address, and even the information you have entered on a site so that you don’t have to re-enter it.

For more information on cookies, please consult the CNIL information page.

Generally speaking, cookies can be of different types depending on their purpose.
We present here the cookies used on the site:

  • technical cookies essential for connection;
  • cookies offering functions to optimize navigation or the appearance of the site (e.g. changes in text size, personalized pages);
  • statistical or performance cookies , used to monitor site performance, compile statistics on traffic volumes and content use, and detect any malfunctions. The information collected is aggregated and rendered anonymous. The cookies we use do not collect information concerning identified individuals, in accordance with CNIL recommendations;
  • cookies linked to the effectiveness of the adwords we use: these cookies are deposited when you connect directly to one of our contact pages from an adword you have booked, in order to track the effectiveness of our marketing campaign. Their deposit is subject to your consent;
  • social network cookies to enable the sharing of specific content. They are not used on our site, but are deposited when you visit the page of the social network in question. Their management therefore depends entirely on the social network on which you are registered.

Cookies can be session-specific, being stored in your browser only during your browsing session, i.e. until you leave the site, and being deleted afterwards.

Some of them may also be persistent: they remain in your browser after the session (unless you specifically delete them).

The use of cookies is based on our legitimate interest in improving the operation of our site, ensuring its smooth running, and enabling audience measurement. In accordance with the CNIL analysis, these are the cookies that :

  • are used exclusively to compile anonymous and uncorrelated statistics on visitor numbers and to carry out tests to measure the relative performance of different versions of the site;
  • and have a shelf life of less than 13 months;

and those

  • whose sole purpose is to enable or facilitate communication by electronic means or which are necessary for the provision of an online communication service at your express request.

We use the following cookie for this purpose:

  • _pk_id: Audience measurement carried out using the Piwik Pro tool. Anonymized personal data. Retention period = 13 months.

Without your consent, we do not deposit any cookies other than those that are anonymous or strictly necessary for the use of the site.

However, with your consent and in order to help us better understand your expectations, you may also allow us to obtain individualized information about your browsing.

We would like to inform you that we have set up the tool to collect only the information that is strictly necessary for us. However, the data collected will be transferred outside the European Union. When such transfers take place to countries that do not benefit from an adequacy decision issued by the Commission, our service providers use the standard contractual clauses established by the European Commission, which are available on request from the e-mail address given in this policy.

If you wish, you can consent to the deposit of the following cookie:

  • gtag.js: Audience measurement, conversion tracking and creation of advertising audience for the Google advertising network (data controller) – Google ads. Retention period = 13 months

In accordance with Article 13 and Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, we will endeavour to enable you to exercise your rights in relation to the personal data you entrust to us.

In this respect, and within the limits provided for by the texts, you benefit from the possibility :

  • To be informed in an understandable way about the processing of your data;
  • Request access to your data;
  • Request that your inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected;
  • Request the deletion of your data;
  • To object to or request the restriction of the processing of your data;
  • To withdraw your consent at any time (in cases where we rely on your consent);
  • Request the portability of your personal data when processed on the basis of your consent or on the basis of a contract (or pre-contractual measures),
  • Define directives concerning the fate of your personal data after your death.

If you have accepted the gtag.js cookie, Google will process it for you. You can find more information on the following page.

To exercise your rights or simply to answer any questions you may have on the subject, and subject to providing proof of your identity, you can use the following e-mail address contact@databack.fr, or write to DATABACK 3 rue Vincent Auriol – 85000 La Roche-sur-Yon.

If, despite our best efforts, you are not satisfied with the way we process your data or with our responses to any questions you may have on this subject, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés) on its website.

We remind you that it is in our Privacy Policy that you will find details of your rights regarding your personal data, the means of exercising them and the persons to whom your data is transferred, as well as the degree of security we provide.
